Hologram 02:54
Hologram You’re a fiction that is finally fact Hologram I will never be alone again Thanks to you I will always have a friend or two Hologram We will never be alone again I never thought you’d ever be Quite so real, so much like me Kudos to the scientists What ever will they think of next? Hologram You’re a fiction that is finally fact Hologram I think technology will save me yet Hologram You’re a fiction that is finally fact Hologram I will never be alone again They will see You’re a blessing of modernity Hologram We will never feel alone again

Mystery 03:21
Efface all the myths, don’t focus on the past The protocol man sees the future in his facts Apogee of plenty — why do you feel deprived? Discontent is the spirit of the time Mystery, mystery The mystery is dead It’s history, history That’s all we have left They try to ease the tension by calling it a name Diagnose is the order of the day Mystery, mystery The mystery is dead It’s history, history That’s all we have left You’re numb most of the time Can’t seem to find reasons why So much is all of the same What’s the point of it all anyway? Mystery, mystery The mystery is dead It’s history, history That’s all we have left

Lovers 04:20
Do your lovers really love you? Do they treat you like you want them to? Do they know you, would they ask you to choose? Do your lovers really love you? It wasn’t my time to give It wasn’t my love to give It wasn’t my time to get It wasn’t my love to get It was my time to give It was my love to give It was my time to get It was my love to get

Bow down to the queen Her temperament reigns supreme Mercurial monarchy Everyday indignities I use to think you, think you Were the only one in the world Who I should worship, worship I would hang on every word I was your servant, servant Your most loyal, humble steward But then they changed you, changed you And a new order emerged Why did you grow to hate me? Why did you grow to hate me? Why did you grow to hate me? Why did you grow to hate me? I can’t hear what you hear I can’t see what you see I don’t fear what you fear What did those years do to me? I use to think you, think you Were the only one in the world Who I should worship, worship I would hang on every word I was your servant, servant Your most loyal, humble steward But then they changed you, changed you And a new order emerged What were you so ashamed of? What were you so ashamed of? What were you so ashamed of? What were you so ashamed of?

Rapt 05:14
I wanted for us to be happy I wanted for us to be free Just what were the odds of encounter? She called it ‘serendipity,’ yeah Well, I can’t believe That you’re here with me So much for the work I have waiting To hell with the corporate grind I traveled so far just to be here To love you on the 4th of July ‘Cause I’d like to stay With you here today The clouds aren’t so gray With you I’m ok, I’m ok Sun rises in the sunset Rapt in yellow and red In this house of sea and sun One and one equals one Dawn reawakens the dream The day casts its shadow boldly forth But it is you who I see through a shade of orange Every time I close my eyes As the sun rises in the sunset Rapt in yellow and red In this house of sea and sun One and one equals one ‘Cause I’d like to stay With you here all day The clouds aren’t so gray With you I’m ok, I’m ok [Special thanks to Kenneth Harvey for "Rapt" poetry]

Shimmer 04:34
We were stuck at a mini mall So far apart, I do recall The last few years weren’t so good to you I crossed your love not once but… I gave you a quarter and said to call If you want me in your life at all But alas that call never came Two lives forever rearranged (rearranged) Yes, I know, it’s hard to let go We’ve been together so long, you’re all I know Yes, I know, it’s time to let go A little ‘Starr’ once so bright, do you still shimmer at night? All of my tragedies, they seem so petty Compared to your heartache and all your suffering (suffering) We were stuck at a mini mall So far apart, I do recall

Politics 04:26
In a flash, all was gone They rolled through town, like a storm And there’s a chance that he’ll escape Though the memories will remain
Your politics are red When there’s nothing left to kill We’ll make great friends Your politics are red When there’s nothing left to kill We’ll make great friends, great friends Men only know to take by force And ‘providence’ knows no remorse Civility is just a game Underneath, nothing’s changed Your politics are red When there’s nothing left to kill We’ll make great friends Your politics are red When there’s nothing left to kill We’ll make great friends, great friends

Well, there was this girl I knew back when I was sixteen I met her through a friend of mine who was new to my high school and who lived just outside of town, Mr. Michael fuckin’ Lewis He drove a ’65 Chevelle — which we would later crash I remember she liked wearing leather jackets and ripped jeans, smoking cigarettes and making out in the back of classic cars — she was a total ‘rocker chick,’ and she had quite the reputation I had a motorcycle and she said she was into that So, one day she asked me to come over to her mom’s house way out in the country — and to bring a friend — because she had a friend — and she said that way they could mess around while we messed around So yeah High, way up in the sky It’s like I’m floating, I’m so happy So far up in the sky High, way up in the sky It’s like I’m right there with the contrails The contrails in the sky My favorite memory of that day — besides just making out — was when all four of us walked out to this giant green field — which seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere back then — laid down on the grass, got stoned and just watched the sun slowly descend It was so great — just pure teenage bliss Infatuation, intoxication, fun High, way up in the sky It’s like I’m floating, I’m so happy So far up in the sky High, way up in the sky It’s like I’m right there with the contrails The contrails in the sky

Take another trip Down the avenue of bliss Can you feel it? Do you get it? So they say You’ve had a real bad day A fucking hit man Will do the trick man You’re a love child You’re in love, child You’re a love child You’re in love, child Just one hit It will make you forget That’s some knowledge For the wisest Never let go Of the fire that is your soul You’re burning out man On the junk man You’re a love child You’re in love, child You’re a love child You’re so in love, child
